Product Design Engineer
Our continued growth and partnership with a Chinese Manufacturing Company has created opportunities for Product Design Engineers. Our ideal candidates should have a four year Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology degree along with some optoelectronics experience. A thorough understanding of design methodologies in both through-hole and surface mount processes is required. A working knowledge of AutoCAD or PADS is also helpful. Thermal management and/or Embedded Software (PIC) experience is a plus. Primary responsibilities include the creation and maintenance of production optoelectronic assemblies, working with data bases, Gerbers, component specifications, assembly drawings and Bill of Materials. Purchasing & Supply Planner
Marktech Optoelectronics has a unique new position available for a Purchasing & Supply Planner at our headquarters based in Latham, NY. Primary Responsibilities include assisting with the timely ordering and acquisition of Lighting Products, LEDs, and LED assemblies from our overseas supply channels; forecasting inventory needs and balancing inventory levels; working closely with product management, engineering and sales staffs to organize and follow through on projects relating to the product line-up of the company. Communications with factory personnel will be necessary. Our ideal candidate should possess a college degree and experience with purchasing and inventory management/control. Applicant should be detail oriented, proficient with MS-Office, accustomed to ordering in large lots, and experienced in balancing inventories. Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills are a must;fluency in Chinese and/or Japanese is a plus but not mandatory. Experience with QuickBooks is also a plus but not necessary.
