Philosophy
Marktech Optoelectronics is a full service optoelectronics supplier located in Latham,New York (outside of Albany the capital of New York). Marktech markets, sells and distributes optoelectronic components throughout North America for a limited number of international optoelectronic manufacturers.
Since 1985, we have been bringing to market the latest and most innovative LED products in the industry. Included in our catalog is a complete selection of HighBright and Ultra HighBright leaded and Surface Mount LED lamps in both InGaAlP and InGaN materials. In addition we also carry a wide range of standard discrete, surface mount, and dot matrix displays along with a complete line of photo sensor products.
What makes Marktech unique among the other manufacturers and distributors in the optoelectronics industry is that we are a sales, engineering, and marketing group with complete testing and prototype design capabilities. At Marktech we know that LEDs and related optoelectronic products are generally designed and manufactured to meet the common demands of the market. There are, however, applications which utilize parameters of an optoelectronic device that are not clearly specified and often not even controlled within the manufacturing process. Characteristics such as radiant power output of a visible LED or the secondary wavelength peak of an infrared device may be critical parameters for a specified application but no reference to those parameters is made in the specification. To further complicate matters, one LED of a given type may demonstrate the desired characteristic while the next LED of the same type does not. We understand these LED issues and offer a comprehensive array of engineering services designed to reduce production costs by supporting LED applications that fall outside of the main-stream.
Marktech maintains a complete optoelectronics laboratory staffed by qualified engineers and technicians. Tasks performed by Marktech's Engineering Services group range from application specific device design and prototyping to parameter binning and component testing. The ultimate goal of the Engineering Services group is to provide our customers with a device that consistently meets the requirements of their application. By providing a device that is designed or presorted for their specific application, production yields can be increased dramatically, inventory requirements become manageable and production engineering support requirements are significantly reduced.
A significant and essential part of Marktech's marketing philosophy is the development and maintenance of strategic, long term relationships with key accounts in several electronics industry segments. We feel that such relationships are essential to thoroughly understand and service the diverse variety of markets that we serve.
The relationships that we are able to develop are based upon Marktech's ability to be recognized and acknowledged as an asset to the customer. Although our customer relationships exist in a personal contact level they are founded upon our ability to provide a variety of valuable services to the customer. These services may include but are not limited to direct engineering support, inventory, flexible and/or favorable terms of sale, active participation in our customers trade organizations, and our efforts to understand and anticipate the customers requirements both immediately and into the future as LED technology evolves.
