Marktech Optoelectronics today announced its new partnership with Elcos AG. Elcos has chosen Marktech to handle all North American technical sales and marketing for their custom chip on board assemblies as well as their unique line of surface mount devices. With more than 25 years of experience in chip on board (COB) technology and SMD packaging expertise, Elcos stands out as a world leader in its field of assembly technology. Along with an extensive range of standard SMD products Elcos has focused on custom-designed solutions building specialized components for sensors, displays and illumination in the medical, military, avionics, and industrial sectors. The new partnership adds depth to Marktech's current line of optoelectronic products, which will now include IR SMDs, Power Chip LEDs and Custom SMD options Elcos, based in Pfaffenhofen, Germany, currently markets their products throughout Europe and the U.K. Its entrée into the United States with Marktech represents its continued strategy to expand its markets for products ranging from medical devices to military and avionic applications.
