New Toshiba 1100 and 1102 Series Surface Mounts Address Industry Solderability Issues

The Toshiba 1100 and 1102 Series LEDs from Marktech Optoelectronics have improved upon Surface Mount Packages that were once considered an industry standard. Toshiba has done this by addressing solderability issues, plating thickness and the type of plating used. By optimizing these aspects of the package design Toshiba was able to create an LED that is engineered to improve the ease of solderability.

These high intensity LEDs feature Toshiba's High Bright InGaAlP technology and a built-in reflector for increased brightness and uniformity. Colors include Pure Green, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red-Orange and Red. While these devices are ideally suited to backlighting applications where space is a premium, the 1100 and 1102 series surface mounts can also be used in light pipe and indicator applications.
