Marktech Optoelectronics offers the most complete LED testing and design capabilities available in the industry today. Supported by our qualified engineering staff, Marktech's in-house engineering facility combines to give you the ideal product development partner. Our custom engineering department offers testing resources for Visible and Infrared LEDs, Photo Sensors and Displays, including:
Angular Measurements
Performed primarily for characterization and quality control functions (Used to determine device viewing angle as well as radiation pattern.
Burn In
Provides customer with parts that have already experienced initial degradation and have stabilized, usually done in conjunction with power output or luminous intensity sort.
Microscopic Inspection
Performed primarily for Quality Control and device development functions.
Power Output Sorting
Power output sorting is performed to provide minimum and/or maximum output (mW), consistency or both in a given LED. Power output is not usually a parameter specified for a visible LED, but is generally the characteristic important to a customer using an LED as a sensing device.
Prototype Capabilities
Marktech has the capability to provide quick evaluation and testing of various "custom through-hole" lamps by the design, development and assembly of small sample LEDs. A multitude of configurations are possible using existing die types and packages.
Reliability Testing
Reliability Testing is performed primarily for Quality Control functions as well as the evaluation of new and/or improved product. This includes: temperature cycling, temperature humidity testing, burn-in, solderability etc.
Resistance Welding
Adding series resistors or other components to LED lead frame, assembly of custom metal can IR and visible led configurations for evaluation/prototyping.
Vf Parameter Sort & Current Gain
Performed primarily for Quality Control and device development functions.
Wavelength Sorting
Performed to provide consistent or specified wavelength (color).
