These emitters are available in a large assortment of metal cans, plastic and service mount packages as well as custom assemblies (see our Customization section) and materials (see our material section) to match application requirements. UV Emitters are widely used in sensing applications, which include airport identification and inspection equipment, currency validation, and medical sensing. Marktech's Point Source Emitters are powered by a unique LED chip that produces a well-defined pattern of light similar to a "point". These chips in combination with high quality grade glass lenses produce an extremely narrow, near parallel radiation pattern. This unobstructed, radiated beam pattern is made possible by producing a unique defined active area and relocating the topside electrode. By eliminating the "dark spot" typically associated with the center of conventional LEDs, the point source LED yields superior results in critical sensing applications. Our Point Source Emitters are available in TO-18, TO-46 and PLCC-4 packages.

Marktech is one of a few limited manufacturers who supply emitters in the extended wavelength or SWIR (Short Wavelength Infrared) range. Our standard product offering includes both through-hole and surface mount packages with wavelengths from 1020nm - 1720nm and operating currents ranging from 20mA to 350mA for high power applications. Higher wavelength ranges up to 3000nm are available in specific package types. If something above 3000nm is required which is more in the MWIR (Mid Wavelength Infrared) range, Marktech is happy to work with you to develop a custom wafer / die that meets your specific application.
